Silent Purpose is one of the most expensive commissions for ages in Sweden and an
attempt to develope the classical concert form by having the concerto accompanied by
a film. The soloist Fröst is performing both on and off screen. Silent Purpose was
commissioned by Trondheim Solistene and was first performed on 26 September in Trondheim, Norway.
