Agneta Sköld

In Agneta Sköld’s music, clear traces of her background as both a singer, an experienced choral conductor, and as an organist can be heard. It conveys a deep understanding of the voice and the choir as an instrument, often in cooperation with the organ. “Agneta Sköld’s music has a simple ingeniousness that settles close to the soul and evokes thoughts about the great mysteries or our existence: life, death and love”, stated the jury of the 2019 Stockholm Music Association Composition Award.
