The title of this mass connects to the choir to wich it was dedicated: Voces Nordicae. And in the music you can hear influences of nordic folk music, mainly in the Kyrie part. This mass also resembles Frank Martin's mass.

Olle Lindberg’s choral music is colored by jazz and rhythmical elements. Sprung from the rich Dalecarlian folk music tradition, but more importantly, from a family of famous Swedish choral composers, Lindberg has created his own musical language. His aim is to move people and to let instruments and soloists interact with the choir in a constant dialogue. The beauty of nature is his greatest inspiration.
